Demons
Demons are beings that were originally human, but have transformed after coming in contact with "Demon Crystals" through either a simple touch or having it pierced through the skin. In terms of appearance, they aren't much different from humans, aside from their fangs and having the ears and tail of their demon, their "Parasite". The rarer the animal(within demons) they have, the stronger they are - for example; Wolves are the most common, while Felines are rarer. But that's not the only thing that can determine a Demons strength.
The Black-eyed ones, who retain the memories of their human life, leaving less "space" in their soul for their Demons to take up, which means two things: The Demon has less influence over them and cannot take control or force them to act on their desires as easily, but in turn the "Host" is weaker than the rarer type of Demons.
The Bright-eyed ones, who do not retain the memories of their human life, and thus their Demons take up more of their soul, meaning: The Demon has more influence over them and can cause them to
Each Demon have their own weapon they can summon, as well as their own unique power, some even posses(in addition!) an ability from their Demon's animal... some are luckier than others.
One danger that all demons face however, is the threat of "Crystalization" - where a they fully lose control and Demon Crystals rip through their body(despite this causing immense pain, they lose themselves so much they aren't even aware until its too late!), and at the end of the process, they fully crystalize and become what could only be called a statue, or just a husk of what was a person.
